Top 10 Ride Sharing and Travel Apps in Bangladesh (2026)

The best ride sharing and travel apps in Bangladesh for 2026, compared on fares, commission, services and coverage, from bike rides in Dhaka to intercity trips and bus tickets.

By the Arohon team

Search "best ride sharing app in Bangladesh" and you will mostly find thin lists written for tourists, with no prices, no commission figures and apps that shut down years ago. This guide is different. We looked at which apps are actually running in 2026, what they offer, how they treat drivers and what you really pay.

A quick note on how we ranked them: we looked at five things that matter to people in Dhaka and beyond.

  • Upfront, fair pricing. Do you know the fare before you book?
  • Driver commission. Apps that take less keep better drivers, and better drivers mean better rides.
  • Range of services. Bike, CNG, car, intercity, parcel, ambulance and more.
  • Coverage. Dhaka only, or the rest of the country too?
  • Safety. Verified drivers, trip sharing and support.

1. Arohon

Arohon is the newest name on this list and our pick for 2026, for one simple reason: it is built to be fair to both sides of the ride.

Why it ranks first

  • Flat 2% driver commission. Most ride apps in Bangladesh take 15% to 25% of every fare. Arohon takes a flat 2%, plus a ৳3 safety charge and a small booking fee. On a ৳100 trip, the driver keeps ৳90.
  • Upfront fares. You see the price before you book. No bargaining at the door.
  • Every way to move in one app. Bike, EV bike, CNG, car, Car Plus, micro and Hiace, plus parcel delivery, food and medicine, car rental with a driver, airport rides and ambulance booking.
  • Built for the whole country. City rides plus intercity trips between any of Bangladesh's 64 districts, with drivers joining from every division.
  • Rewards that grow with you. Points on every ride and parcel, a 16 tier ladder, and coupons of up to 50% off.

Best for: everyday riders who want a fair price, drivers who want to keep their earnings, and families travelling between cities.

2. Pathao

Pathao is the best known local brand and one of the pioneers of motorbike ride sharing in Bangladesh, launching bike rides in 2016. It has grown into a super app with rides, food delivery, courier and payments, and has been recognised internationally, including by Forbes Asia's "100 to Watch" list in 2025.

Strengths: large rider and driver network in major cities, food and courier in the same app, Pathao Pay.

Things to know: commission has historically been a sore point for drivers. A Business Standard report described Pathao cutting bike commission to 10% at peak hours and up to 15% off peak, down from higher rates in some cities.

Best for: riders in Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet who already use its food and courier services.

3. Uber

Uber entered Bangladesh in 2016 and remains one of the most used apps in Dhaka, with cars and motorbikes in Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet and other urban areas.

Strengths: a familiar global app, strong safety tooling, works for visitors using foreign cards.

Things to know: commission has been the main source of driver protests. In 2019, thousands of Dhaka drivers went on strike over a 25% commission, demanding 12%. Uber later reduced fees as more trips moved offline.

Best for: visitors and riders who want a known international app.

4. inDrive

inDrive lets riders and drivers agree the fare between them inside the app. It operates in Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet and other areas.

Strengths: fare negotiation can be cheaper on some routes.

Things to know: negotiating every ride is not for everyone, especially late at night or in a hurry. When the Business Standard reported on its launch, it was not yet on the regulator's approved list.

Best for: price sensitive riders who are happy to negotiate.

5. Obhai

Obhai focuses on cars and CNG autorickshaws and has expanded to more than 20 cities, including Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Cox's Bazar. Its motorbike service was closed around 2021 to 2022.

Strengths: strong CNG network and reach outside Dhaka.

Best for: booking a CNG through an app in cities beyond the capital.

6. Shohoz

Shohoz is no longer a ride sharing app (its ride service stopped during the pandemic), but it is the country's largest online ticket platform for buses, launches, flights and events, with over 100 million tickets sold and thousands of routes.

Best for: long distance bus and launch travel when you do not need a private vehicle.

7. Jatri

Jatri is a public transport app focused on bus tracking and e-ticketing, working with thousands of buses.

Best for: daily bus commuters who want to track their bus and pay digitally.

8. Truck Lagbe

Truck Lagbe is a digital trucking platform for moving goods, from home shifting to business freight.

Best for: moving large loads that do not fit a pickup.

9. Rail Sheba (Bangladesh Railway)

The official Bangladesh Railway e-ticketing app lets you buy intercity train tickets from your phone.

Best for: affordable intercity travel by train, if you can plan ahead.

10. Google Maps

Not a booking app, but still essential. Live traffic in Dhaka helps you decide whether a bike, CNG or car will actually be faster for your trip.

Best for: planning your route and checking traffic before you book.
